Our top Myrtle Beach rental booking tips and tricks:
When to go & When to book:
- Summer is the most expensive season in the Myrtle Beach area. Booking your Myrtle Beach vacation rental in the Fall or Spring is our best tip for saving money on your vacation home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable homes.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner you can book, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation homes are booked early. Reserving your vacation home up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a discount.
- Property managers typically offer customers an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost you between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for additional information.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local information, visitor guide magazines contain offers and deals for nearby restaurants, attractions, and tours.
Planning and picking your prefect Myrtle Beach rental home:
- Start by selecting trip dates and a maximum budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration you need. Large 2 Bedroom 2 Bath Pool / Courtyard View Condo - Anchorage Rentals has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is almost always accessible online. Otherwise, email or call the host before you reserve your rental. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes pull out couches in living rooms.
- Visiting for a specific event? Try a map search to locate nearby rentals.
- Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all required amenities are available before booking.
- Are you bringing the family pet? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional fees or could be applied to your contract.
Considerations for your stay:
- Review arrival and departure procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and save the instructions to your smartphone.
- To make sure that damages are not attributed to your stay, record any problem areas when you arrive. text the property manager right away to relay any damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, stereo or coffee maker. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents many problems.
- Respect the neighborhood. Frequently, adjacent homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting noise limits and parking regulations reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Lock your vacation home while you're away. Keep your property safe!
- Just prior to departing, take a walk-through to confirm you have not forget anything. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did your family have a great stay? Most rental home management companies make it easy for travelers to provide reviews. If your rental and/or property manager was great, they would love to hear about it. If anything was wrong and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
