Tips to get the optimal Myrtle Beach vacation home experience:
Money saving strategies:
- Summer time is high season in the Myrtle Beach area. Reserving a rental home in Fall or Spring is our favorite way to save money on your vacation home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable homes.
- Reserve your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families book their Summer rental homes during holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host if your group qualifies for a discount.
- Property managers usually offer their guests an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for more information.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach area magazine when you check-in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local information, visitor guide magazines have money saving offers on nearby attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.
Selecting the best vacation rental in Myrtle Beach:
- Choose vacation week and max budget.
- Decide how many beds and the bed configuration you need. Oceanview condo in Brighton, 1504 - full access has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.

Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional fees or may be applied to your invoice.
Additional considerations:
- Get the owner's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental property. Put the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- To ensure that no damages are linked to your stay, note any problem areas when you arrive. E-mail the property manager immediately to relay any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be valuable.

- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome vacationers disrupting your quiet neighborhood. Practice the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and places you would have not otherwise known about!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can typically help. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Keep the property locked while you're out! Don't let thieves ruin your family vacation.
- Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the property to make sure you've collected all belongings. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
