Booking the best Myrtle Beach vacation property experience:
Finding the best rental value:
- Summer is the most expensive season in the Myrtle Beach area. To get the best value, change your group's trip dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and even October offer pleasant weather, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
- Book your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules often open 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families book their Summer rental homes during Winter holiday gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer renters an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for additional information.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine upon arrival. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitor guides have money saving offers on nearby tours, shops, and attractions.
Use filters to narrow your search:
- Start by selecting your vacation dates and a maximum budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. Renovated, Safe, Beachfront, Family Friendly, Quiet & Great Reviews! has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rentals search.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is normally accessible online. If you don't see them listed, contact the property manager before reserving the vacation property. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches. You will need to determine which bed configuration is optimal for your trip.
- Visiting for a specific attraction? Try a map search to locate nearby properties.
- Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before reserving a rental
- Remember to include your furry companions! Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement! Additional pet fees or could be applied to your contract.
Have a wonderful stay:
- Review arrival and departure procedures before leaving home. Take a printed copy, and save the directions to your smartphone.
- To make sure no damages are linked to your family's visit, inspect for any problem areas when you arrive. Contact the rental manager immediately to relay your findings. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, intercom or appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief call prevents a lot of issues.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant vacationers disrupting your peaceful home. Use the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and attractions you would've not otherwise known!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Keep your rental home locked while you're gone! Don't let thieves ruin your trip.
- Just before checking out, take a walk-through to make sure you have not leave anything behind. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did you have a terrific vacation? Many rental websites make it easy for clients to provide comments. If your property and/or host was fantastic, they would love to hear about it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
