Tips to get the optimal Myrtle Beach rental home experience:

Find your perfect rental:

  • Reserve your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families reserve their Summer rental homes during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summer months are high season in the Myrtle Beach area. Reserve your Myrtle Beach rental home in Fall or Spring to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host if your family qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Property management companies typically offer customers an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for additional information.
  • Many rental management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guide magazines which include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Use filters to narrow your search:

  • Select vacation dates and max budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your group needs. Stay in our 1-Bedroom Condo and Enjoy the Ocean, Pools & Lazy River has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed types is almost always accessible online. If you don't see them listed, email or call the property management company before you book the home. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds and bunks. You will need to establish what is right for your trip.
  • If your group is traveling with pets, you'll need to book a pet-friendly property. Make sure to ask for specifics on breed, size, and type restrictions. Often, hosts charge additional pet fees.
  • Visiting for a specific attraction or event? Try a map search to locate nearby rentals.
  • Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Make certain to ask about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.

Know before you go:

  • Take a copy of the property manager's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental property.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, A/V setup or washer/dryer. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief call prevents quite a few problems.
  • Keep the property locked while you're away! Don't let burglars ruin your holiday.
  • Document any issues with the property upon arrival, and immediately contact the host. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that can be useful if damages are assessed.
  • Respect your neighbors. Frequently, nearby homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking policies is the right thing to do.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can usually help. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Re-check the rental property to confirm that you've packed all belongings on check-out day. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Walk through the property a final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the manager is not available, ensure that you take pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did you have a wonderful time? Most rental home management companies make it easy for travelers to provide reviews. If your property and/or property management company was great, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was out of order and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
