Our top Rental booking tips and tricks:
Getting the most from your vacation rental budget:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier you can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The best rental homes are booked very early. Booking your vacation rental six - twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your rental.
- To find the most suitable rental within your budget, we suggest booking in Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at the beach and popular Myrtle Beach attractions.
- Owners sometimes offer rate reductions for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if special discounts are available for your family.
- Property management companies frequently offer guests an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach area magazine when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, travel guides have coupons for local restaurants, attractions, and tours.
Selecting and booking a perfectvacation home:

More tips for your visit:
- Store the owner's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, A/V setup or WIFI setup. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents many concerns.
- Keep your rental home locked while you are out! Don't let crooks spoil your holiday.
- Upon arrival, document any damages to the rental property and immediately alert the owner. Record all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
- Respect your neighbors. Frequently, surrounding homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting noise limits and parking policies reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Re-check every room of the property to make sure that you've packed everything at departure. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Walk through the property a final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise walking through with the host whenever you can. If the property manager is not available, take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Leave feedback! Hosts rely on good feedback to stimulate new reservations. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your experience find their best vacation rental. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to remedy it.
