This property has special local compliance requirements which include a signed rental agreement, ID verification, and a security hold of $1000 (which is not a traditional security deposit, just a pending transaction). As an optional alternative to the security hold, you may opt in to purchase a non-returnable damage waiver supplied by a third-event insurance company. The optional damage waiver is $49. Damage waiver purchases are optional.
To make this process simple for you, we use a secure and very simple, app-complimentary platform called Happy Guest. It is not an app, and you do not have to sign up for an account - it’s a safe and secure website. It also gives you a guest portal with all the info about the home and all of my favorite local spots.

Booking the best Myrtle Beach rental home experience:
When to book & When to go:
- June, July, and August are high season in the Myrtle Beach area. Reserve your Myrtle Beach rental property in the Spring or Fall to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner you can reserve a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The best rental homes are booked early. Reserving your rental six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation home.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host if your family qualifies for a price reduction.
- Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer their guests an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for additional information.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach area magazine upon arrival. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, travel guides contain money saving offers on local tours and attractions.
Choosing the best rental in Myrtle Beach:
- Select your dates and maximum budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. Top Floor @ Magnolia- Pool views- Golf- Sleeps 6 has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is often available on booking websites. If not, reach out to the property owner before booking the property. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which often includes pull out couches in living rooms.
- Looking for unique amenities? Most websites include amenity lists and search filters. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
- Some properties allow pets, but some don't. Acceptable types of pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask your host about allowable breeds and types before booking.
More tips for your stay:
- Get the host's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental. Put the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- During check-in, note any damages to the rental property and immediately alert the host. Keep records of all coorespondence.
- Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
- Be respectful. Often times, nearby homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking rules is the right thing to do.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Protect the owner (and your things!) by keeping the rental locked up when you are gone, just like you would back home.
- Double-check every room of the vacation property to confirm that you've packed all of your family's items at departure. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did your family have a excellent stay? Most rental websites make it easy for clients to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or property management company was wonderful, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was wrong and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
