Finding the best Myrtle Beach rental home experience:
When to visit Myrtle Beach & When to book:
- Book your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually open twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rental homes during Winter holiday gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Summer is high season in the Myrtle Beach area. Booking your vacation home in Fall or Spring months is one of our best tips for saving money on your vacation. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of desirable properties. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
- Hosts sometimes offer promotional rates for veterans. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your group.
- Property management companies typically offer customers an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost you between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for more information.
- Many management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guide magazines that include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local companies, or through a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Finding the perfect rental home:
- To start, have your group commit to dates and a spending budget.
- Determine how many beds and the configuration you need. Modern Oceanfront King Suite Sand Dunes 2834 has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rental home search.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is regularly accessible online. Otherwise, reach out to the property owner before you book the rental. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds and bunks.
- Are you bringing the family pet? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your agreement! Additional pet fees or charges might be applied to your agreement.
- Visiting for a specific attraction? Use a map search to browse nearby rentals.
- Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. .
Some things to know before you go:
- Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Save the instructions to your phone, and take a printed backup.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, A/V setup or appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call prevents a lot of concerns.
- Lock your rental while you're away. Protect your property!
- Note any damages to the property at check in, and immediately send them to the property manager. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are valuable if there is a dispute.
- Be a good neighbor. Often, adjacent homes are filled by local residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking policies is the right thing to do.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Re-check the rental property to confirm that you've packed all of your belongings on check-out day. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Please make sure to walk through the property one final time and scan for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the manager is not available, ensure that you take photographs of the property to record its condition.
- Leave a review! Hosts rely on great ratings to inspire new reservations. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your experience find their best rental home. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to remedy it.
