Booking the best Myrtle Beach rental experience:
How to get the best value:
- Book your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacations during Winter holiday get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Booking a rental in Fall or Spring months is our best tip for saving money on your vacation rental. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable homes.
- Some property managers offer rate reductions for veterans and active duty military. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if special discounts are available for your group before you book.
- Property managers usually offer guests an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for details.
- Often, management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guides that include money-saving deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Filter your search:
- Begin by choosing your a vacation week and a spending budget.
- Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. Mull's Beautiful Ocean 2 bdr, 2 bath in Ocean Lakes has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is commonly available on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the property manager before booking the vacation property. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches.
- Some rental properties allow pets, and some don't. Allowable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask your host about allowable breeds and types before booking.
- If there's a certain Myrtle Beach attraction you long to visit, look for properties that are either close by, or those that cater to your needs.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
Some things to know before you go:
- Review arrival and departure procedures before leaving home. Save the instructions to your smartphone, and take a printed copy.
- Hosts are available to help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by locking the property while you are out, just like you would at home.
- To make sure that damages aren't linked to your family's visit, note any problem areas when you arrive. Call the rental manager right away to report your findings. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually an excellent source for finding the best local scenic spots.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
- When it's time to leave, take a walk-through to confirm you have not forget any personal items. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Please make sure to walk through the property one final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the manager is not available, remember to take video of the rental to record its condition.
- After your trip, leave a review! Property owners rely on good reviews to compel future bookings. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your review find their best vacation rental. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.
