Tips to get the best vacation rental experience:
When to go & When to reserve a rental home:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner your group can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable properties are reserved very early. Booking your vacation property 6-12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and book your vacation home.
- To find the best value, try shifting your group's vacation dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and even October offer excellent weather, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August.
- Property managers sometimes offer rate reductions for veterans and active duty military. Check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your family before you book.
- Booking websites usually offer their guests an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost you between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for specifics.
- Often, management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guides which often include coupons, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Use filters to narrow your rental search:
- Choose a designated group leader, choose your dates, and select a maximum budget.
- Decide how many beds and the configuration your group requires. Myrtle Beach Resort RT0912 has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rentals search.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed types is commonly accessible on booking pages. If not, contact the host before you book the home. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches. You will need to determine what is suitable for your vacation family.
- Some rental properties allow pets, but others don't. Acceptable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask the property management company about your furry family members before booking.
- If there's a specific Myrtle Beach destination you are crazy about, keep an eye out for rentals that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your needs.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are available before booking
More tips for your visit:
- Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the directions to your smartphone.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, television set or coffee maker. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent many difficulties.
- Lock your vacation home while you are away. Protect the owner's property and your things!
- To make sure that damages are not linked to your visit, note any problem areas upon check in. text the host right away to relay any damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be a great source for finding the best local scenic spots.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Just prior to departing, complete a final walk-through to make sure you have not forget anything. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did you have a excellent stay? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for customers to provide comments. If your property and/or property management company was terrific, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was imperfect and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
