Myrtle Beach rental booking tips:
Money saving strategies:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier your group can reserve a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The best vacation homes are reserved early. Reserving your vacation rental up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental home.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Myrtle Beach area. To find the best value, shift your group's vacation to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and even October offer great weather, , and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host if your family qualifies for a discount.
- Property managers frequently offer customers an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for details.
- Often, management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guides which include coupons, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Selecting and booking the perfect Myrtle Beach vacation home:

- Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration you need. T1211 at The Myrtle Beach Resort: Beautifully Appointed w\/ Awesome Ocean View has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is often available online. If they are not listed, contact the property manager before you reserve the property. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You will need to determine what is best for your vacation group.
- Remember to include your furry companions! Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional fees or charges may be applied to your invoice.
- If there's a certain Myrtle Beach destination you long to visit, keep an eye out for homes that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your needs.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. .
Advice for your stay:
- We recommend storing the host's contact information in your smartphone.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, stereo or washer/dryer. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent lots of concerns.
- Keep your rental home locked while you are away! Don't let thieves ruin your family vacation.
- Make a record of any damages to the property upon arrival, and immediately e-mail them to the property manager. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be valuable if damages are attributed to your stay.
- Be a good neighbor. Often times, surrounding homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can frequently help. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- Just prior to departing, complete a final walk-through to confirm you have not forget any personal items. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Leave feedback! Property owners rely on excellent ratings to drive more bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your review and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
