Tips and Tricks to get the perfect Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:
Get the most from your spending budget:
- Summer time is high season in the Myrtle Beach area. To find the best value, shift your vacation to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer warmer temperatures, , and greatly reduced traffic.
- Book your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules often open a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacation rentals during holiday get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host if your group qualifies for a reduced rate.
- Management companies and individual rental owners often offer their guests an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for details.
- Often, management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guides which will include special offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
How to select the best vacation rental in the Myrtle Beach area:
- Select a group lead, select your vacation week, and choose a spending budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Coastal Serenity: Ocean View 2 Bdrm Condo 10th Flr has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed types is regularly available on booking pages. If not, call the property management company before reserving the vacation home. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds in living rooms.

- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable vacationers bothering your peaceful home. Use the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and scenic spots you would have not otherwise known about!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can typically help. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Ensure you protect the owner (and your stuff!) by locking the rental while you are away, just like you would at home.
- Upon check-out, complete a walk-through to make sure you have not forget anything. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Walk through the property a final time and scan for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the host isn't available, ensure that you take photographs of the rental to record its condition.
- After your trip, leave a review! Property owners rely on great ratings to compel future bookings. They'll be thankful for your review.
