Tips for getting the best Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:
Sticking to your budget:
- To find the best value, change your trip dates to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer great temperatures, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
- Reserve your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups book their Summer vacation rentals during Winter holiday gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Some owners offer special rates for veterans. Check with your property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your family.
- Management companies and individual rental owners often offer guests an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for more information.
- Look for your local visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, travel guides have offers and deals for nearby shops and restaurants.
Use filters to search efficiently:
- Select a group leader, choose your trip dates, and select a spending budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your group requires. A310 at The Myrtle Beach Resort: Charming Condo has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is normally accessible on booking pages. If they are not listed, call the property owner before you book your rental. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds in living rooms.
- Are you visiting for a specific event or attraction? If so, use a map search to find nearby properties.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before booking.
- Are you bringing the family pet? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional pet fees or might be applied to your contract.
Some things to know before you go:
- Get the property manager's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental home. Store the host's information in your smartphone.
- To make certain that no damages are linked to your stay, inspect for any problem areas upon your arrival. message the rental manager right away to report any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be a fantastic source for finding the best local beaches and hangouts.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can usually help. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by locking the rental when you are away, just like you would at home.
- Just prior to departing, take a final walk-through to confirm you haven't forget anything. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Walk through the rental one final time and look for damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the host is not available, take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Remember to leave a review! Property managers rely on excellent feedback to stimulate new reservations. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other families will be thankful you shared your feedback find their best vacation home. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
