Tricks and tips to get the perfect Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:
Finding the best value:
- Reserve your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules generally become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families reserve their Summer rental homes during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Myrtle Beach area. Booking a rental in Fall or Spring is one of our best tips for saving money on your vacation. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable homes. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August.
- Property managers sometimes offer special rates for veterans. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your family.
- Booking websites usually offer their guests an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for specifics.
- Many property management companies supply Myrtle Beach area travel guides which will include coupons, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Finding the best rental home in Myrtle Beach:
- To start, have your group decide on the best dates and a spending budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your family needs. Myrtle Beach Resort Unit 4113 - Courtyard View has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is generally accessible online. Otherwise, contact the property management company before booking the vacation home. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to determine which bed configuration is optimal for your group.
- Some rental properties allow pets, and others don't. Allowable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask your host about pet restrictions before booking.
- If there's an individual Myrtle Beach beach you long to visit, search for rentals that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your needs.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Make certain to ask about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
Considerations for your stay:
- Get the property manager's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental property. Store the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, A/V setup or thermostat. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents lots of concerns.
- Keep the property locked while you are gone! Don't let burglars ruin your vacation.
- To ensure that damages aren't attributed to your family's visit, make a record of any problem areas during arrival. Contact the rental manager immediately to report your findings. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be useful.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful vacationers bothering your peaceful home life. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and places you would have never otherwise known about!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can typically help. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
- Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the rental property to confirm you've collected all of your things. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- After your trip, leave a review! Property owners rely on good reviews to inspire future bookings. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationers will will be grateful for your review and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to fix it.
