Getting the best vacation home experience:
Get the most from your spending budget:
- Book your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules often open 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families reserve their Summer rental homes during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- June, July, and August are high season in Myrtle Beach. To book the largest vacation home for your budget, we highly recommend booking in Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at Myrtle Beach restaurants, beaches, and activities.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your family qualifies for a discount.
- Property managers often offer renters an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally will cost between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for more information.
- Often, management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guides which will include coupons, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Planning and choosing the best Myrtle Beach vacation home:
- First, have your family decide on date ranges and a spending budget.
- Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. Atlantica Resort 2\/2 OF Condo with Dishwasher and Washer\/Dryer in Myrtle Beach has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is normally accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, email the host before you reserve your home. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches. You'll need to establish what configuration is optimal for your vacation family.
- If your group is traveling with pets, you must reserve a rental that allows animals. Make sure to ask for information on breed, weight, and type requirements. Note that some property owners charge pet deposits and fees.
- Looking for special amenities? Most rental search websites include amenity lists and search filters. Use these filters to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
Advice for a terrific stay:
- We recommend storing the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, stereo or WIFI setup. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents lots of difficulties.
- Protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking the rental when you are out, just like you would back home.
- Document any issues with the rental upon arrival, and immediately e-mail them to the host. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that are valuable if damages are assessed.
- Respect your neighbors. Often, surrounding homes are filled by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking regulations reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Double-check the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all personal items on check-out day. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did your family have a fantastic time? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for customers to provide reviews. If your rental and/or host was terrific, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was defective and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
