How to get the best Myrtle Beach rental home experience:
When to go & When to book:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner you can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The best properties are booked very early. Booking your vacation home six - twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your rental property.
- To get the best value, try shifting your vacation dates to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer warm temperatures, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer months.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host if your vacationing group qualifies for a discount.
- Property management companies often offer their guests an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally will cost between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
- Often, rental management companies supply Myrtle Beach area travel guide magazines which include special deals, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Narrow your rental Search:
- Select a group lead, choose your vacation dates, and select a spending budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your group needs. Grande Shores Oceanfront Resort Myrtle Beach Weekly & Monthly Discounted Rates has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach vacation rental search.
- Specific details about bedrooms and bed types is normally accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, contact the property management company before reserving the rental. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds in living rooms. You'll need to establish what configuration is best for your trip.
- Some rental properties allow pets, and others don't. Acceptable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask the property management company about your furry family members before booking.
- Is your group looking for special amenities? Most rental websites include search filters for amenities. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before reserving a rental.
More considerations:
- Take a copy of the host's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your . We recommend storing the manager's information in your smartphone.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, television set or kitchen appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents many difficulties.
- Lock your rental home while you're away. Keep your property safe!
- At Check-in, document any damages to the rental property and immediately alert the host. Keep records of all coorespondence.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a terrific source for finding the best local beaches and restaurants.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
- Re-check the vacation property to confirm that you've packed all belongings on check-out day. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did your family have a wonderful time? Many rental managers make it easy for guests to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property manager was fantastic, they would love to hear about it. If anything was defective and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
