How to get the best Myrtle Beach rental home experience:
When to visit & When to reserve a Myrtle Beach rental home:
- To find the largest vacation home within budget, we suggest booking in Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at local restaurants, tours, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier you can book a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The best properties are booked very early. Reserving your vacation property up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and book your rental home.
- Property managers sometimes offer promotional rates for veterans. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your group before you book.
- Booking websites usually offer their guests an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for details.
- Many management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guide magazines which include money-saving offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Selecting the perfect vacation home in the Myrtle Beach area:
- Select your dates and max budget.
- Decide how many beds and the configuration your family requires. New Built Home Oceanview w/ garage Myrtle Beach near Boardwalk has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed types is almost always available on booking pages. If not, contact the property manager before reserving the vacation property. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You'll need to work out what configuration is right for your vacation group.
- Visiting for a specific event or attraction? If so, use a map search to find nearby properties.
- Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.
- Some rentals allow pets, and others do not. Allowable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask the property management company about pets before booking.
More considerations:
- Get the owner's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental home.
- At Check-in, note any damages to the rental property and immediately alert the host. Keep records of all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
- Property managers are there to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be a terrific resource to find the best local scenic spots.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking and securing the home when you are gone, just like you would at home.
- Just prior to departing, complete a walk-through to confirm you didn't forget any personal items. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Remember to leave a review! Property owners rely on excellent feedback to inspire new bookings. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationing families will will be grateful for your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.
