Strategies to get the perfect Myrtle Beach rental home experience:
Get the best rental home value:
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of SC. Reserving a rental home in Fall or Spring months is a great way to save on your vacation. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable homes.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner you can reserve a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best properties are reserved early. Booking your vacation home up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your vacation home.
- Some property managers offer special rates for veterans. Check with your host or property manager to see if special discounts are available for your group.
- Property management companies often offer their guests an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally will cost 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for more information.
- Find a copy of your local visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitor guides have money saving offers on nearby tours, shops, and attractions.
Make a plan and choose the right Myrtle Beach rental home:
- Select dates and max budget.
- Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. NEW home *Centrally Located * Beach 2 miles *comfortable *2 miles boardwalk Blue has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
- Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is usually available on booking websites. If they are not listed, contact the host before you reserve the home. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds. You will need to establish which bed configuration is optimal for your group.
- Are you visiting for a specific attraction or event? Try a map search to find nearby rentals.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. .
- Are you bringing the family pet? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional fees or costs applied to your invoice.
More considerations:
- Add the host's contact info to your phone. Print and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
- To make sure that damages aren't attributed to your family's visit, make note of any problem areas upon your arrival. Make contact with the property manager right away to report any issues. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, stereo or thermostat. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents quite a few problems.
- Respect the neighborhood. Often, adjacent homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting noise limits and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
- Keep the property locked while you are away! Don't let crooks ruin your holiday.
- Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the property to confirm you've collected all personal belongings. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- After your trip, leave a review! Property managers rely on good reviews to inspire future reservations. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
