Tricks and tips to get the perfect Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:
Find your perfect vacation home:
- Reserve your Myrtle Beach vacation in Fall or Spring to get the benefit of gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowds.
- Book your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families reserve their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host if your group qualifies for a special rate.
- Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer renters an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for details.
- Often, rental management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guide magazines that include money-saving offers, either offered independently by local companies, or through a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Use filters to search efficiently:
- Select your vacation week and max budget.
- Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. Remodeled Condo, Waterpark View at Landmark Resort has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is almost always accessible online. If they are not listed, reach out to the property manager before you reserve the home. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull out couches in living rooms. You will need to work out what is best for your vacation group.
- Looking for special amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters for amenities. Use these to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Remember to confirm all required amenities are included before booking
- Remember to include your furry companions! Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your agreement! Extra fees or charges might be applied to your invoice.
Advice for your stay:
- Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and save the directions to your phone.
- To make certain that damages aren't linked to your visit, note any problem areas during check in. text the rental manager right away to document any damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be useful.
- Hosts are great sources of help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You'll increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are often a fantastic resource to find the best local spots.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- Lock your rental home while you are away. Protect your property!
- When it's time to leave, complete a walk-through to make sure you have not forget any personal items. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Go through the property one final time and scan for damage. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the host is not available, take pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Leave feedback! Hosts rely on excellent reviews to propel new reservations. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your review find their best vacation home. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to fix it.
