Tips to get the perfect Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:
Sticking to a rental home budget:
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Myrtle Beach. To get the best rental within your budget, we suggest booking in Fall or Spring months. You'll enjoy lower rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at popular attractions and restaurants. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer.
- The sooner your group can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The best vacation homes are booked very early. Reserving your vacation property up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation rental.
- Some hosts and property managers offer promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your group before you book.
- Property management companies often offer guests an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for additional information.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitor guide magazines have money saving offers on nearby accommodations, restaurants and tours.
Use filters to narrow your search:
- Choose your vacation dates and spending budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family requires. New Listing!! 7th Floor Oceanfront & Center + Beach Locker! Book Now! has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is commonly accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, email or call the property manager before booking the home. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds. You'll need to establish what is right for your group.
- Are you visiting for a single attraction? If so, use a map search to find nearby properties.
- Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.
- Some properties allow pets, and some do not. Acceptable types of pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask your host about your furry family members before booking.
Considerations for your stay:
- Be sure you get the property manager's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental property.
- Make a record of any damages to the rental during check in, and immediately send them to the host. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that are beneficial if damages are assessed.
- Hosts are there to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
- Be respectful. Frequently, surrounding homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking rules reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
- Lock your rental property while you are gone! Don't let burglars ruin your family vacation.
- Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the rental property to confirm you've collected everything. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Go through the rental one final time and keep an eye out for damage. We suggest walking through with the host whenever you can. If the host isn't available, ensure that you take photographs of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Remember to leave a review! Property owners rely on great ratings to drive new reservations. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other families will will be grateful for your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to remedy it.
