Tips for getting the perfect rental home experience:
When to reserve a Myrtle Beach rental & When to go:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier you can reserve a home, the easier your search will be. The best vacation rentals are booked early. Booking your vacation rental six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your rental property.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Myrtle Beach area. Booking your vacation rental in Fall or Spring months is our favorite way to save money on your rental home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable properties. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your family qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Property management companies typically offer renters an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for more information.
- Many property management companies supply Myrtle Beach area travel guides which include special deals, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
How to pick the best vacation rental:
- Select a group lead, choose your vacation dates, and choose a maximum budget.
- Determine how many beds and the configuration your group requires. Large Oceanfront 3 Bdrm (11th Floor) - by Luxury Beach Rentals has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach vacation rental search.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed types is regularly accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the property owner before reserving the home. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
- If your group is traveling with pets, you'll need to find a pet-friendly rental. Ask for specifics on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Be aware that some hosts charge pet deposits and fees.
- If there's a certain Myrtle Beach attraction you long to visit, browse rentals that are either close by, or those that cater to your requirements.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. .
Tips to have a wonderful stay:
- Be sure you get the host's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental home.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, intercom or thermostat. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent many problems.
- Protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by locking the property when you are out, just like you would back home.
- To make certain that no damages are linked to your family's visit, note any problem areas when you arrive. E-mail the host right away to record any issues. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be useful.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious visitors bothering your peaceful home life. Use the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and places you would've not otherwise known about!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can typically help. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Double-check the rental property to make sure that you've packed everything on check-out day. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Inspect the property one final time and scan for damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager isn't available, take photos of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Did your family have a wonderful stay? Many rental websites make it easy for guests to provide reviews. If your property and/or property management company was great, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was imperfect and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
