Strategies to get the optimal vacation property experience:
Get the most from your rental budget:
- To find the best rental for your budget, we strongly suggest reserving in Fall or Spring months. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at popular Myrtle Beach attractions and restaurants. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier you can book, the better your selection will be. The best properties are booked early. Booking your vacation home up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation rental.
- Property management companies sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Check with your property manager to see if discounts are available for your group before you book.
- Property management companies usually offer renters an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for more information.
- Find a copy of your local visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitor guides contain discounts for local shops and restaurants.
Choosing and booking the right Myrtle Beach rental home:
- Choose dates and maximum budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your group needs. New! This property has flexible booking and all summer rates are discounted! has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is often available online. If they are not listed, email or call the property manager before you book the home. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds in living rooms.
- Looking for specific amenities? Most websites include amenity lists and search filters.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. .
- If your group is traveling with pets, you will need a rental that allows animals. Ask for information on breed, weight, and type requirements. Usually, property owners charge additional pet fees.
More tips for your visit:
- Be sure you get the property manager's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your .
- At Check-in, note any damages to the rental property and immediately alert the property manager. Record all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, intercom or coffee maker. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents lots of difficulties.
- Be respectful. Frequently, surrounding homes are filled by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Ensure you protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by locking and securing the home when you are out, just like you would back home.
- Upon check-out, take a final walk-through to confirm you didn't forget any personal items. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Walk through the property a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager isn't available, take photos and video of the rental to record its condition.
- Did you have a great time? Many rental managers make it easy for clients to provide reviews. If your property and/or host was terrific, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was amiss and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
