Myrtle Beach rental property booking tips and tricks:
Sticking to your spending plan:
- The sooner your group can reserve a home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation homes are booked very early. Booking your vacation home up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and book your rental.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Myrtle Beach. To find the best value, consider changing your trip dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer pleasant weather, , and reduced traffic.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Property managers usually offer guests an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for additional information.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach area magazine when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitors guide magazines have money saving offers on nearby tours, shops, and attractions.
Selecting and booking the right Myrtle Beach rental:
- To start, have your family select a vacation week and a maximum budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family requires. 3BR\/2BA South Tower 6th Floor-Oceanfront-Gorgeous View! Beach Locker! has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is commonly available online. If not, contact the property management company before reserving the vacation property. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You'll need to establish what configuration is suitable for your trip.
- If your family is traveling with pets, you must reserve a pet-friendly rental. Make sure to ask for information on breed, weight, and type requirements. Be aware that some property managers charge additional pet fees.
- Looking for particular amenities? Most websites include search filters for amenities. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Make certain to ask about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
More considerations:
- Take a copy of the property manager's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental property.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, television set or kitchen appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents a lot of problems.
- Ensure you protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking and securing the home while you are out, just like you would at home.
- To ensure that damages aren't attributed to your family's stay, record any problem areas upon your arrival. Call the property manager right away to relay your findings. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant visitors disrupting your peaceful home life. Employ the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and places you would've never otherwise known!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Re-check every room of the vacation property to confirm that you've packed all of your belongings at check-out. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did your group have a excellent vacation? Many rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide feedback. If your property and/or host was wonderful, they would love to hear it. If anything was defective and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
