Finding the best Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:
Getting the best rental value:
- Book your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups book their Summer rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Booking a rental in the Fall or Spring is our best tip for saving money on your vacation rental. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable homes.
- Property management companies sometimes offer rate reductions for active duty military and veterans. Ask your host or property manager if rate reductions are available for your family.
- Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer guests an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
- Often, property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area travel guides which include special deals, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Planning and choosing the right Myrtle Beach vacation home:
- Start by selecting your the best vacation week and a max budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. Newly Upgraded Great 1 bdrm oceanfront condo Near Broadwalk and Downtown has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is normally available online. If you don't see them listed, email or call the property management company before booking the property. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches.
- If your family is bringing pets, you'll need to book a pet-friendly rental. Get details on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Usually, property owners require additional pet deposits and fees.
- If there's a certain Myrtle Beach attraction you are crazy about, look for rentals that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your desires.
- Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Remember to confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental
Tips for a wonderful stay:
- We recommend storing the owner's information in your smartphone.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, television set or WIFI setup. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief call prevents many concerns.
- Ensure you protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by locking the rental while you are gone, just like you would at home.
- To make certain that damages aren't linked to your family's stay, make a record of any problem areas during arrival. message the property manager immediately to record any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Be respectful of your neighbors. Frequently, surrounding homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can typically help. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- On check-out day, take a walk-through to confirm you didn't forget anything. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did your group have a great vacation? Many rental managers make it easy for clients to provide comments. If your property and/or property manager was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was wrong and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
