Getting the best Myrtle Beach vacation home experience:
How to get the best value:
- Summer is high season in the Myrtle Beach area. To book the largest rental for your budget, we highly recommend reserving in the Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at your favorite Myrtle Beach restaurants and activities. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier your group can reserve a home, the easier your search will be. The best vacation rentals are reserved very early. Reserving your rental property up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and book your rental home.
- Some owners offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special discounts are available for your group before you book.
- Property management companies typically offer guests an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
- Find a copy of your local visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitor guides have deals for local restaurants, attractions, and tours.
Choosing and booking your prefectrental:
- Begin by selecting trip dates and a budget.
- Determine how many beds and the configuration your group needs. Ocean Lakes - Site 1295 Coastal Themed 3BR/2BA Getaway! has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is generally available on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, email or call the property manager before you reserve your rental. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds and bunks.
- If there's a specific Myrtle Beach attraction you simply love, search for properties that are either nearby, or those that cater to your needs.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
- Are you bringing the family pet? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Pet fees or charges applied to your invoice.
Tips to have a wonderful stay:
- Be sure you get the owner's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your .
- To ensure that no damages are linked to your family's visit, note any problem areas during check in. text the property manager right away to report any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, stereo or kitchen appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent many issues.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. You will increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a fantastic resource to find the best local attractions.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
- Lock your rental property while you're gone! Don't let burglars spoil your family vacation.
- Double-check every room of the vacation property to confirm that you've packed all of your family's items on check-out day. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Walk through the property one final time and scan for damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the manager isn't available, remember to take video of the property to record its condition.
- Remember to leave feedback! Property managers rely on excellent feedback to propel more bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your review and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.
