Getting the best Myrtle Beach rental home experience:
When to book & When to go:
- Summer months are the most expensive season along the coast of SC. Reserve your rental home in Spring or Fall to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowds.
- The sooner you can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The best rental properties are booked very early. Reserving your vacation home six - twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and book your vacation home.
- Some hosts and property managers offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Ask your property manager if special offers are available for your family.
- Management companies and individual rental owners often offer guests an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for additional information.
- Often, management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area travel guides which include special deals, either offered directly by local companies, or through a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Filter your rental search:
- Choose a group leader, select your vacation dates, and choose a budget.
- Note the number beds and the bed configuration your group requires. MH 408 PROMO code\"1000off\" for $1000 off 7night stay May31-June 7 or June 7-14 has 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rentals search.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is usually accessible online. Otherwise, call the property management company before you book the rental. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds. You'll need to work out what configuration is best for your vacation group.
- If there's a specific Myrtle Beach destination you long to visit, look for rentals that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your needs.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Make certain to ask about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
- Remember to include your furry companions! Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional pet fees or costs could be applied to your contract.
Considerations for your stay:
- Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Add a note with the directions to your phone, and take a printed copy.
- To ensure that damages aren't attributed to your family's stay, inspect the property for any problem areas during check in. Make contact with the host right away to relay your findings. If there is a dispute, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Property managers are available to help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
- Respect the neighborhood. Frequently, surrounding homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting noise limits and parking policies reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can frequently help. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
- Protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by locking and securing the home when you are away, just like you would at home.
- Upon check-out, complete a final walk-through to make sure you did not leave anything behind. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Go through the rental one final time and look for damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the manager is not available, remember to take video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Did your group have a wonderful vacation? Many rental home management companies make it easy for customers to provide feedback. If your property and/or property manager was wonderful, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was inoperable and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
