Tips and Tricks to get the perfect Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:
Get the best rental value:
- The earlier your group can reserve a home, the better your selection will be. The best properties are booked very early. Booking your rental home six - twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and book your vacation home.
- To get the most suitable rental home within budget, we strongly suggest reserving in Fall or Spring months. You'll enjoy lower rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at your favorite restaurants and activities.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a special rate.
- Booking websites often offer customers an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost you 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for specifics.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local information, visitors guides have coupons for local accommodations, restaurants and tours.
How to pick the best vacation rental:
- First and foremost, have your family decide on dates and a maximum budget.
- Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your group requires. Oceanfront 14th floor 3BR @ Myrtle Beach Resort has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is usually accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, email the host before reserving the vacation property. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
- Some rental properties allow pets, and some do not. Allowable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask the owner about allowable breeds and types before booking.
- If there's a specific Myrtle Beach destination you crave, look for homes that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your needs.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
During your stay:
- Get the property manager's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, A/V setup or appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call prevents many difficulties.
- Protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by locking and securing the home while you are out, just like you would at home.
- To make sure that damages aren't attributed to your family's visit, make note of any problem areas during arrival. Contact the property manager right away to report your findings. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Be respectful of your neighbors. Often, nearby homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking regulations is the right thing to do.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can frequently help. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
- Upon check-out, complete a final walk-through to make sure you have not forget anything. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Inspect the property one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the property manager isn't available, remember to take photographs of the rental to record its condition.
- After your trip, leave feedback! Hosts rely on excellent ratings to inspire more reservations. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other families will appreciate that you share your review and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
