How to book the best rental experience:
When to reserve a Myrtle Beach rental & When to go:
- Summer time is high season in the Myrtle Beach area. To get the best value, consider shifting your family's Myrtle Beach vacation dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and October offer warm temperatures, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic.
- Book your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families book their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer discounts for veterans. Ask your host or property manager if rate reductions are available for your group before you book.
- Property management companies frequently offer guests an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local stories, visitor guide magazines have offers and deals for local tours and attractions.
Planning, selecting, and booking the perfect Myrtle Beach rental home:
- Select a group lead, select your trip dates, and select a spending budget.
- Decide how many beds and the configuration your family needs. Oceanfront! - All New! Ultra Modern Farmhouse Chic at the Beach! Just Listed! has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is regularly accessible on booking pages. If not, email the property manager before reserving the vacation property. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes pull out couches in living rooms.
- Visiting for a specific attraction or event? Use a map search to find nearby rentals.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. .
- If your family is vacationing with pets, you must reserve a pet-friendly vacation rental. Make sure to ask for details on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Be aware that some hosts charge pet deposits and fees.
During your stay:
- Take a copy of the owner's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental property.
- To make certain no damages are linked to your family's stay, make note of any problem areas upon check in. Contact the host right away to report your findings. If there is a dispute, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, A/V setup or kitchen appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents a lot of concerns.
- Be a good neighbor. Often, nearby homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Keep the property locked while you are out! Don't let thieves ruin your family vacation.
- Double-check the property to make sure that you've packed all belongings on check-out day. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Walk through the property a final time and scan for damage. We recommend walking through with the host whenever possible. If the property manager isn't available, take photos of the property to record its condition.
- Did you have a excellent vacation? Many rental home management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide comments. If your property and/or host was terrific, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was amiss and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
