Vacation rental home tips and tricks:
Get the most from your vacation rental budget:
- To book the most suitable vacation home for your budget, we suggest booking in Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at Myrtle Beach restaurants, beaches, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season.
- Book your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacations during holiday gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
- Booking websites frequently offer guests an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for details.
- Many property management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guide magazines that include special deals, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Filter your rental search:
- Start by having your family choose vacation dates and a maximum budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. Brigadune 3 BR \"MOST BOOKED CONDO \" has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is often accessible on booking pages. Otherwise, reach out to the host before booking your rental. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds. You'll need to establish what bed configuration is suitable for your vacation.
- If there's an individual Myrtle Beach beach you are enamored with, browse rentals that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your desires.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. .
- If your group is vacationing with pets, you must book a property that allows animals. Request specifics on breed, weight, and type requirements. Note that some hosts charge additional pet fees.
Know before you go:
- Get the host's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your . Store the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- To make certain no damages are linked to your family's visit, inspect for any problem areas when you arrive. E-mail the rental manager right away to report your findings. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be useful.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, elevator or thermostat. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent quite a few concerns.
- Be respectful of your neighbors. Often, surrounding homes are filled by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking regulations is the right thing to do.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the rental locked up while you are away, just like you would back home.
- Double-check every room of the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all of your family's items at departure. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Inspect the property a final time and look for damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host isn't available, take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition.
- Did you have a terrific time? Many rental home management companies make it easy for guests to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property management company was fantastic, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was imperfect and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
