Tips to get the optimal Myrtle Beach vacation home experience:

Get the best value:

  • To get the most suitable vacation home within your budget, we suggest booking in the Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at Myrtle Beach restaurants, beaches, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier you can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable properties are booked early. Booking your vacation home six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and book your rental home.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host whether your group qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Property management companies usually offer renters an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost you 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for specifics.
  • Many rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guides which will include coupons, either offered independently by local companies, or through a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Make a plan and choose the bestrental:

  • Select a group leader, choose your trip dates, and choose a maximum budget.
  • Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. Oceanfront 2 Bedroom 2 Bath Suite~Palace 2008 has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rental home search.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is often accessible online. Otherwise, call the property owner before you reserve your rental. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes pull out couches in living rooms. You will need to determine what configuration is right for your trip.
  • If there's a specific Myrtle Beach destination you crave, keep an eye out for properties that are either close by, or those that cater to your desires.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. .
  • If your family is traveling with pets, you must book a rental that allows animals. Ask for specifics on breed, size, and type requirements. Some property owners require additional pet deposits and fees.

Advice for your stay:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and save the directions to your smartphone.
  • Record any damages to the rental during check in, and immediately send them to the owner. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that are useful if a dispute is filed.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, intercom or coffee maker. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent quite a few problems.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome vacationers disrupting your life at home. Practice the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and scenic spots you would have not otherwise known!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Lock your rental property while you are gone! Don't let thieves spoil your holiday.
  • Re-check the rental property to confirm that you've packed everything at check-out. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the rental a final time and scan for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the host is not available, ensure that you take photographs of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did your group have a fantastic time? Many rental managers make it easy for customers to provide reviews. If your property and/or host was terrific, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was inoperable and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
