Welcome to our oceanfront condo at Beach Colony Resort. This is our place on the 5th floor - high enough for sweeping vistas of the Atlantic, still a fast elevator ride down to the pools and the sand.

THE SPACE
The living area has two comfortable queen beds and a queen sleeper couch. The living space opens through enormous sliding doors onto a private oceanfront balcony with two Adirondack gliders. That balcony is honestly our favorite spot in the condo: a good place for morning coffee, or for watching the beach empty out in the evening.

The bedroom has two queen beds, so the condo sleeps six in all. The kitchen is compact but completely equipped - full-size refrigerator, electric range and oven, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, and a dual coffee maker that takes both pods and regular ground coffee. We keep the cabinets outfitted with dishes, glasses, cooking basics, and kid-friendly plasticware. Filters are usually on hand, but bring your own coffee.

The bathroom is roomy for a one-bedroom, with a double vanity and a tub/shower combo. The closet has hangers, a bags rack, linens for the sleeper couch, and an ironing board. So please unpack and settle in.

At six guests the space is comfortable without feeling busy. We also leave beach chairs and beach toys for you to use during your stay.

THE RESORT
Beach Colony is one of those resorts where you could fill an entire vacation without leaving the property. There are heated indoor and outdoor pools, a lazy river, indoor and outdoor hot tubs, a exercise center, a sauna, and an arcade with skee-ball, air hockey, and a pool table. The Kraken Bar sits poolside, Cannonballz Bar & Grille handles casual meals, and there is a coffee shop on site. The grounds are well kept, with hammocks, gliders, lawn games, and loungers scattered through the landscaping. Beach access is direct.

THE AREA
You are centrally located on the Grandiose Strand at 5308 N Ocean Blvd. Crave Italian Oven is a 0.2-mile walk, Mimosa's Southern Kitchen and Croissants Bistro are both under a mile, and Broadway at the Beach, the Boardwalk, and the SkyWheel are all within a couple of miles.

GOOD TO KNOW
We are not affiliated with the resort front desk. You will get self check-in instructions before you arrive, so you can head straight to the condo. Parking is supplied and the resort is accessible 24/7. The condo is all-electric, with a smoke alarm and a fire extinguisher on site. The trash chute is just across the hallway.
