Tricks and tips to get the perfect Myrtle Beach vacation home experience:
How to get the best rental value:
- The sooner your group can reserve a home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are reserved early. Booking your vacation rental up to 12 months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your rental property.
- Summer months are the most expensive season in Myrtle Beach. Booking your vacation home in the Spring or Fall is a great way to save on your rental home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of desirable homes. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August.
- Hosts sometimes offer special rates for veterans and active duty military. Ask your host or property manager if rate reductions are available for your family before you book.
- Management companies and individual rental owners often offer their guests an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
- Many rental management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guide magazines which include money-saving deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Selecting and booking the perfect Myrtle Beach rental:
- Choose a group leader, choose your vacation week, and choose a maximum budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration you need. Oceanfront Efficiency Tides 508 has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is almost always available on booking pages. Otherwise, call the property management company before you book the rental. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches. You will need to determine what configuration is suitable for your vacation.
- If your group is vacationing with pets, you'll need to search for a pet-friendly rental. Ask for details on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Be aware that some property managers charge additional pet fees.
- Is your group looking for special amenities? Most rental websites include search filters for amenities.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before booking.
Tips for a great stay:
- Be sure you get the owner's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your . Put the manager's information in your smartphone.
- Hosts are there to help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
- Lock your rental while you are out. Keep your property safe!
- Make a record of any damages to the rental at check in, and immediately send them to the property manager. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be helpful if a dispute is filed.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant visitors disrupting your quiet neighborhood. Use the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and places you would've never otherwise known!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- On check-out day, complete a final walk-through to confirm you have not leave anything behind. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Inspect the property a final time and scan for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the property manager is not available, remember to take video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Remember to leave a review! Hosts rely on good ratings to compel future bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other families will appreciate that you share your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.
