Tips and Tricks to get the perfect Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:

Sticking to your rental home budget:

  • In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner your group can book a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best properties are reserved early. Booking your rental six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental.
  • Booking your Myrtle Beach vacation home in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons is a great way to save on your rental home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable homes.
  • Hosts sometimes offer discounts for veterans. Check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your family before you book.
  • Property management companies frequently offer their guests an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for more information.
  • Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine upon arrival. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitors guide magazines have deals for local attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.

Planning, selecting, and booking the best Myrtle Beach rental home:

  • To start, have your group choose the best dates and a budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family requires. T1701: Oceanfront Oasis has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach vacation rental search.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed types is commonly accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, email the host before booking the rental. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches.
  • If your group is vacationing with pets, you'll need to search for a pet-friendly property. Ask for information on breed, weight, and type requirements. Some property owners charge pet deposits and fees.
  • If there's an individual Myrtle Beach destination you crave, search for rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your needs.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before reserving a rental.

Tips for a great stay:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and save the directions to your phone.
  • Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Ensure you protect the property owner (and your things!) by keeping the rental locked up when you are out, just like you would at home.
  • To ensure that no damages are linked to your family's visit, make note of any problem areas upon check in. Get in touch with the property manager right away to report any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome visitors disrupting your peace. Apply the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and places you would've never otherwise known!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Double-check every room of the property to make sure that you've packed everything on check-out day. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the property a final time and look for any damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever you can. If the manager isn't available, remember to take photographs of the property to record its condition.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Property owners rely on great ratings to drive new reservations. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.
