Booking the best Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:

Getting the best value:

  • Reserve your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules often open a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups book their Summer rental homes during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • June, July, and August are high season in Myrtle Beach. Reserve your Myrtle Beach rental in the Spring or Fall to get the benefit of warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host if your family qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Booking websites often offer guests an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for specifics.
  • Often, rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area travel guides which will include money-saving offers, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Selecting and booking the bestrental home:

  • To start, have your group decide on trip dates and a spending budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your group requires. Oceanfront studio - Palace 202! has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed types is commonly available online. Otherwise, reach out to the property management company before you book the vacation home. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds and bunks. You will need to establish which bed configuration is best for your vacation.
  • If your family is traveling with pets, you will need a pet-friendly property. Get information on breed, weight, and type requirements. Usually, property owners charge pet deposits and fees.
  • If there's a certain Myrtle Beach destination you crave, keep an eye out for rentals that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental.

During your stay:

  • Add the owner's contact information to your phone. Understand and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • Hosts are available to help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
  • Lock your rental property while you are away! Don't let burglars spoil your holiday.
  • To make sure that no damages are linked to your family's visit, inspect for any problem areas when you arrive. message the host right away to record any damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Be respectful of your neighbors. Often, nearby homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking regulations is the right thing to do.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can usually help. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Double-check every room of the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all personal items on check-out day. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Please make sure to walk through the property a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever possible. If the property manager is not available, ensure that you take video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your family have a fantastic vacation? Most rental management companies make it easy for travelers to provide reviews. If your property and/or host was terrific, they would love to hear it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
