How to get the best Myrtle Beach rental experience:

Getting the most from your vacation rental budget:

  • Reserve your Myrtle Beach rental in Fall or Spring to enjoy beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • The earlier your group can reserve a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental properties are booked very early. Reserving your vacation rental up to 12 months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and book your rental property.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host whether your group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Property management companies typically offer their guests an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which usually costs 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for additional information.
  • Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, travel guide magazines have money saving offers on nearby accommodations, restaurants and tours.

Make a plan and pick the bestrental home:

  • First and foremost, have your group decide on a vacation week and a maximum budget.
  • Note the number beds and the bed configuration your group needs. Oceanfront Studio With Indoor Waterpark! Water Slides and More-Dunes Village Resort 342 has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed types is commonly accessible online. If not, email or call the host before you reserve the rental. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches. You'll need to work out what is optimal for your vacation family.
  • Are you visiting for a specific event? If so, use a map search to find nearby rentals.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before reserving a rental.
  • Some properties allow pets, but some don't. Acceptable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask the host about allowable pet guidelines before booking.

Tips for your stay:

  • Put the manager's information in your smartphone.
  • Note any issues with the property upon arrival, and immediately send them to the owner. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that are useful if damages are assessed.
  • Property managers are available to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious visitors disrupting your peace. Practice the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and places you would have not otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Ensure you protect the owner (and your things!) by locking the property when you are out, just like you would at home.
  • Double-check the vacation property to confirm that you've packed everything at check-out. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the rental one final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the property manager is not available, take pictures of the property to record its condition.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Property owners rely on great feedback to drive future bookings. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other families will will be grateful for your review and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.
