Strategies to get the optimal vacation property experience:

Sticking to your budget:

  • The sooner your group can reserve a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The best vacation rentals are booked very early. Booking your vacation home six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your rental property.
  • Summer time is high season in the Myrtle Beach area. To get the best rental home for your budget, we suggest booking in Fall or Spring months. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at your favorite Myrtle Beach restaurants and activities. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
  • Some property management companies offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your group before you book.
  • Booking websites frequently offer guests an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
  • Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitors guides have discounts for local shops and restaurants.

Make a plan and choose the perfect Myrtle Beach vacation home:

  • Select a group lead, select your vacation dates, and select a spending budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. Oceanfront Suite, Myrtle Beach SC has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is regularly accessible online. Otherwise, email or call the property management company before booking the property. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds. You will need to work out what is best for your vacation family.
  • Traveling with pets? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement! Additional pet fees or costs applied to your invoice.
  • Visiting for a specific attraction? If so, use a map search to locate nearby properties.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. .

Know before you go:

  • Add the host's information to your smartphone. Understand and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, elevator or appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents a lot of concerns.
  • Protect the owner (and your things!) by locking and securing the home while you are out, just like you would at home.
  • To make certain that damages aren't attributed to your family's stay, inspect the rental for any problem areas upon check in. Make contact with the host immediately to document any issues. If there is a dispute, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are often a great source for finding the best local beaches.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • When it's time to leave, take a final walk-through to make sure you didn't forget anything. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the rental a final time and scan for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the host is not available, take photographs of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your group have a wonderful vacation? Most rental managers make it easy for clients to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or property manager was fantastic, they would love to hear it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
