Tricks and tips to get the best rental experience:
Getting the most from your budget:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner you can book a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best rental homes are reserved very early. Booking your rental home up to 12 months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your vacation home.
- Summer time is high season in Myrtle Beach. To find the best value, consider changing your trip dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer great weather, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
- Some hosts and property managers offer discounts for veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if special offers are available for your group before you book.
- Booking websites frequently offer renters an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for more information.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitor guide magazines contain coupons for local shops and restaurants.
Selecting the perfect rental in the Myrtle Beach area:
- Begin by choosing vacation dates and a spending budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Palms Resort 1003 - Oceanfront! has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is almost always available online. If not, call the host before reserving the home. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull out couches in living rooms.
- Are you bringing the family pet? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your rental agreement! Extra fees or may be applied to your agreement.
- If there's a certain Myrtle Beach destination you love, browse homes that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
- Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
Some things to know before you go:
- Add the property manager's contact information to your smartphone. Print and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, elevator or appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief call prevents lots of concerns.
- Lock your vacation home while you are out and about. Keep your property safe!
- To make certain that no damages are attributed to your family's visit, record any problem areas during arrival. message the property manager immediately to record any issues. If there is a dispute, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful vacationers bothering your life at home. Practice the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and scenic spots you would have not otherwise known about!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
- At departure, complete a walk-through to make sure you did not leave anything behind. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Remember to leave a review! Hosts rely on good feedback to drive future bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other families will be thankful you shared your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.
