Strategies to get the best vacation rental experience:
Getting the best value:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner you can book a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are reserved very early. Reserving your rental home up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation rental.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Myrtle Beach area. Reserve your Myrtle Beach rental in the Spring or Fall to get the benefit of beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowds.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host if your group qualifies for a discount.
- Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer renters an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for more information.
- Find a copy of your local Myrtle Beach area magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, travel guides have coupons for local accommodations and attractions.
Use filters to narrow your rental search:
- Start by choosing your vacation dates and a spending budget.
- Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your group needs. Palms Resort 1406 - Oceanfront! has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is normally available on booking pages. If not, call the property manager before you book the vacation property. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds. You'll need to determine what configuration is optimal for your group.
- Some rentals allow pets, and others do not. Acceptable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask your host about pet restrictions before booking.
- Are you visiting for a specific event or attraction? If so, use a map search to locate nearby properties.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. .
More considerations for your visit:
- Take a copy of the host's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental property.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, intercom or appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call prevents many problems.
- Lock your vacation home while you are away. Protect the owner's property and your things!
- Make a record of any issues with the rental at check in, and immediately e-mail them to the property manager. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that are helpful if a dispute arises.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You'll enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are a great resource to find the best local beaches.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- Double-check the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all belongings at check-out. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Leave a review! Property managers rely on great reviews to inspire future reservations. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to fix it.
