How to book the best vacation rental experience:
When to book & When to go:
- The earlier you can reserve a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable properties are booked very early. Booking your rental home 6-12 months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and book your vacation home.
- To find the best rental within budget, we suggest reserving in the Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at the beach and popular Myrtle Beach attractions. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
- Owners sometimes offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Ask your property manager if special discounts are available for your family.
- Booking websites usually offer renters an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly costs between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for more information.
- Many rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guides which often include special deals, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
How to choose the best rental home:
- Start by having your group decide on vacation dates and a budget.
- Note the number beds and the configuration your group requires. Raised Beach house\/Golf Cart\/Hot tub\/Arcade\/BAR\/Pool table has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is often accessible on booking pages. Otherwise, contact the property management company before reserving the vacation property. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to determine what bed configuration is right for your group.
- If your group is vacationing with pets, you'll need to find a pet-friendly vacation rental. Get details on breed, weight, and type requirements. Often, hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.
- If there's a specific Myrtle Beach destination you long to visit, search for homes that are either near by, or those that cater to your requirements.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before booking.
Advice for a fantastic stay:
- Be sure you get the property manager's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental.
- Property managers are there to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
- Lock your vacation home while you're away. Protect your property!
- Note any damages to the rental upon arrival, and immediately send them to the host. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that are beneficial if a dispute is filed.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome vacationers bothering your peaceful home. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and attractions you would've never otherwise known!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Double-check every room of the rental property to make sure that you've packed all belongings at departure. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Leave feedback! Property managers rely on great feedback to stimulate new reservations. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.
