How to get the best Myrtle Beach vacation home experience:

When to visit & When to book:

  • Summer time is high season in Myrtle Beach. To find the largest rental home for your budget, we highly recommend reserving in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll enjoy lower rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at restaurants, beaches, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer.
  • Reserve your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families book their Summer vacation rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your group qualifies for a special rate.
  • Property managers frequently offer guests an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost you 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
  • Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local articles, travel guides have offers and deals for nearby tours, shops, and attractions.

Planning and choosing the rightvacation home:

  • To start, have your group commit to vacation dates and a budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your family needs. B312- Turtle Cove at The Myrtle Beach Resort has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is normally available on booking websites. If not, reach out to the property manager before booking the rental. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull out couches in living rooms. You will need to work out what is best for your vacation group.
  • If there's a certain Myrtle Beach beach you crave, keep an eye out for properties that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your needs.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental
  • Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional pet fees or costs applied to your contract.

More considerations for your visit:

  • Be sure you get the owner's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your . We recommend storing the manager's information in your smartphone.
  • To make certain that damages are not linked to your family's visit, inspect for any problem areas during check in. Speak to the host immediately to relay any damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, A/V setup or WIFI setup. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief call prevents many problems.
  • Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Often, surrounding homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Lock your rental property while you're gone! Don't let burglars ruin your family vacation.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the rental property to make sure you've collected all belongings. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did your family have a wonderful time? Many rental home management companies make it easy for customers to provide comments. If your rental and/or property manager was great, they would love to hear about it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
