Tips and Tricks for getting the perfect Myrtle Beach rental experience:
Getting the best value:
- To find the most suitable rental home within your budget, we highly recommend booking in Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at Myrtle Beach restaurants, beaches, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
- Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups book their Summer vacation rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Some property managers offer special rates for veterans. Ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your group before you book.
- Property management companies often offer customers an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
- Many property management companies supply Myrtle Beach area travel guides which will include special deals, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
How to choose and book yourrental:
- Select your vacation week and maximum budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your family requires. B114 at The Myrtle Beach Resort: Relaxing Shoreline Retreat has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rental home search.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is commonly available online. If they are not listed, email or call the property manager before reserving your home. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to determine what is best for your group.
- Visiting for a single attraction or event? Try a map search to browse nearby rentals.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Remember to confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental
- If your family is traveling with pets, you'll need to search for a rental that allows animals. Ask for specifics on breed, size, and type restrictions. Some property owners require additional pet deposits and fees.
More tips for your stay:
- Store the owner's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- To make certain that damages are not linked to your stay, inspect the property for any problem areas during check in. E-mail the property manager right away to report any issues. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, A/V setup or thermostat. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent many issues.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome vacationers bothering your peace. Employ the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and scenic spots you would've never otherwise known!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
- Lock your rental property while you're out! Don't let thieves ruin your family vacation.
- Re-check the rental property to confirm that you've packed all of your family's items at check-out. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Please make sure to walk through the property one final time and look for damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the manager is not available, remember to take photos and video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Leave a review! Hosts rely on excellent reviews to stimulate future reservations. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your review and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
