Strategies to get the perfect Myrtle Beach rental home experience:

When to visit & When to book:

  • Book your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rental homes during holiday gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal SC. Reserve your Myrtle Beach vacation home in the Spring or Fall to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities.
  • Owners sometimes offer rate reductions for veterans and active duty military. Ask your host or property manager if discounts are available for your group.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer their guests an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
  • Often, property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guide magazines which will include special offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Choosing the perfect rental home in Myrtle Beach:

  • First, have your family agree to vacation dates and a budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your group needs. Salty Wishes, 2 bed, 2 Bath at Myrtle Beach Resort Ocean View Steps to Sand has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Myrtle Beach rental home search.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed types is usually accessible online. Otherwise, contact the host before you reserve the home. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull out couches in living rooms. You will need to establish what bed configuration is best for your vacation group.
  • Traveling with pets? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement! Extra fees or charges may be applied to your invoice.
  • If there's a certain Myrtle Beach attraction you are enamored with, search for properties that are either close by, or those that cater to your needs.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.

Tips for a fantastic stay:

  • Get the property manager's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental.
  • Hosts are there to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Lock your vacation home while you are out. Keep your property safe!
  • During arrival, make note of any damages to the property and immediately contact the host. Keep records of all coorespondence.
  • Be respectful. Frequently, surrounding homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking rules is the right thing to do.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, take a walk through the rental property to confirm you've collected all personal belongings. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did you have a excellent time? Many rental home management companies make it easy for guests to provide reviews. If your property and/or property manager was great, they would love to hear about it. If anything was amiss and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
