Tips and Tricks to get the best Myrtle Beach vacation home experience:
When to book a Myrtle Beach rental home & When to go:
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are booked very early. Booking your rental six to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation home.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Myrtle Beach area. Booking in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons is a great way to save on your vacation. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable homes. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host whether your family qualifies for a reduced rate.
- Property managers frequently offer renters an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for specifics.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach area magazine upon arrival. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local articles, visitors guide magazines have discounts for local accommodations, tours and attractions.
Selecting and booking the bestvacation home:
- To start, have your family choose vacation dates and a spending budget.
- Note the number beds and the configuration your family needs. Sea Mist Resort 51205 Double Beds Full Kitchen! has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is generally accessible on booking websites. If not, contact the property manager before reserving your rental. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to work out what configuration is best for your vacation family.
- If your family is bringing pets, you must book a property that allows animals. Get details on breed, weight, and type requirements. Be aware that some property owners require additional pet deposits and fees.
- If there's a particular Myrtle Beach destination you are enamored with, browse properties that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your desires.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before booking.
Considerations for your stay:
- Put the host's contact information in your smartphone.
- Property managers are available to help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Lock your rental property while you are gone! Don't let burglars spoil your family vacation.
- Record any damages to the rental at check in, and immediately e-mail them to the owner. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that can be useful if damages are assessed.
- Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Frequently, adjacent homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules is the right thing to do.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can usually help. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Just before checking out, complete a final walk-through to make sure you didn't leave anything behind. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did your group have a excellent stay? Most rental management companies make it easy for travelers to provide reviews. If your property and/or host was terrific, they would love to hear about it. If anything was amiss and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
