Tricks and tips to get the perfect Myrtle Beach vacation home experience:
Get the most from your rental home budget:
- The earlier your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation rentals are booked early. Reserving your vacation property up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental property.
- To get the best value, try changing your family's Myrtle Beach trip dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and even October offer warmer weather, , and reduced traffic.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host if your group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer guests an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for more information.
- Many rental management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guides which often include money-saving offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Choosing the best rental home:
- Begin by selecting your potential vacation weeks and a budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration you need. 17th Flr 3 Bedroom Condo Overlooking the Atlantic has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is regularly accessible on booking pages. Otherwise, email the property owner before booking your rental. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds. You will need to work out what is best for your vacation.
- Remember to include your furry companions! Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional pet fees or applied to your agreement.
- If there's an individual Myrtle Beach destination you are crazy about, look for homes that are either nearby, or those that cater to your needs.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. .
Tips for your stay:
- Be sure you get the property manager's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental home. Put the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, A/V setup or washer/dryer. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents many problems.
- Lock your rental property while you are out! Don't let thieves ruin your vacation.
- During check-in, record any damages to the property and immediately contact the host. Keep records of all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
- Be respectful of your neighbors. Frequently, nearby homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting noise limits and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Upon check-out, complete a walk-through to confirm you did not leave anything behind. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did you have a excellent stay? Most rental management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide comments. If your rental property and/or host was great, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was inoperable and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
