Tips and Tricks to get the best Myrtle Beach rental experience:

Finding your perfect rental home:

  • Summertime is the most expensive season in the Myrtle Beach area. Booking a rental in Spring or Fall is an excellent way to save on your vacation. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable properties. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season.
  • Book your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules often open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacations during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your family qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Property managers frequently offer customers an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for details.
  • Often, property management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guides which include special offers, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Selecting and booking a perfect Myrtle Beach rental home:

  • First and foremost, have your family decide on the best dates and a maximum budget.
  • Two 3BR/3BA Villas has 6 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is commonly available on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, email or call the host before reserving the vacation property. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches. You'll need to establish what is right for your trip.
  • Are you visiting for a specific attraction? Try a map search to locate nearby rentals.
  • Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before booking
  • If your group is vacationing with pets, you must book a property that allows animals. Make sure to ask for specifics on breed, size, and type restrictions. Be aware that some property managers charge additional pet fees.

Have a great stay:

  • Add the owner's contact info to your smartphone. Understand and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • Record any damages to the rental during check in, and immediately contact the property manager. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that are useful if a dispute is filed.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, television set or appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent lots of difficulties.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are often a great source for finding the best local beaches and hangouts.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can usually help. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Lock your rental while you're out. Protect the owner's property and your things!
  • Just prior to departing, take a final walk-through to make sure you didn't forget anything. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the rental a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We suggest walking through with the host whenever you can. If the manager is not available, ensure that you take photos of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Leave a review! Hosts rely on great reviews to drive future reservations. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your review find their best vacation home. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
