Getting the best Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:
How to get the best value:
- The earlier you can reserve a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best rental properties are booked very early. Reserving your rental six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation home.
- Summer is the most expensive season along the coast of SC. To get the largest vacation home within your budget, we recommend booking in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at restaurants, beaches, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host whether your group qualifies for a special rate.
- Property managers usually offer renters an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
- Find a copy of your local visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local articles, visitors guides contain coupons for nearby shops and restaurants.
Choosing and booking the perfectrental home:
- Choose your dates and budget.
- Determine how many beds and the configuration your family requires. Sheraton Broadway Resort
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed types is normally available on booking websites. Otherwise, email or call the property owner before you reserve the vacation property. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds and bunks.
- Some rentals allow pets, but some do not. Acceptable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask the property management company about pet restrictions before booking.
- If there's a particular Myrtle Beach beach you are crazy about, search for homes that are either nearby, or those that cater to your needs.
- Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. .
During your stay:
- Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Save the directions to your smartphone, and take a printed copy.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, television set or WIFI setup. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents a lot of concerns.
- Lock your vacation home while you are away. Protect your property!
- During check-in, make note of any damages to the property and immediately alert the owner. Keep records of all coorespondence.
- Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Often, nearby homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking rules is the right thing to do.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the property to confirm you've collected all of your things. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Leave feedback! Property owners rely on excellent feedback to compel more reservations. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other families will be thankful you shared your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.
