How to find the best Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:

Getting the most from your spending budget:

  • The sooner you can book, the easier your search will be. The best rental homes are reserved early. Booking your rental home up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental home.
  • Booking in Spring or Fall is an excellent way to save money on your rental home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable homes. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Property managers frequently offer their guests an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally costs between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Often, property management companies supply Myrtle Beach area visitors guide magazines which often include money-saving offers, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Make a plan and choose a perfect Myrtle Beach rental home:

  • Begin by choosing the best vacation week and a spending budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration you need. Spacious condo with patio, W/D, pool, hot tub & steps to beach has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is commonly available online. If not, call the property owner before reserving your rental. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to determine which bed configuration is optimal for your vacation.
  • Some rentals allow pets, but others don't. Acceptable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask the property manager about pets before booking.
  • If there's an individual Myrtle Beach destination you love, search for properties that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Make certain to ask about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.

Additional considerations:

  • Take a copy of the host's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental home.
  • Hosts are there to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Lock your rental home while you're out and about. Keep your property safe!
  • To ensure that damages aren't linked to your visit, inspect for any problem areas upon your arrival. message the property manager immediately to record any damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious vacationers disrupting your peace and quiet. Practice the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and attractions you would've not otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Just prior to departing, take a walk-through to make sure you didn't forget any personal items. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Please make sure to walk through the rental a final time and scan for any damage. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the manager is not available, ensure that you take photos and video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Remember to leave feedback! Hosts rely on excellent feedback to inspire future bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to fix it.
