Finding the best vacation property experience:
When to visit Myrtle Beach & When to reserve a Myrtle Beach rental home:
- Summer is high season in the Myrtle Beach area. To find the best rental for your budget, we recommend reserving in Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at popular Myrtle Beach attractions and restaurants. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
- The sooner you can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The best vacation rentals are booked early. Reserving your rental home up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your vacation rental.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host if your family qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Property management companies often offer their guests an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for more information.
- Many rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guide magazines which include special deals, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Make a plan and choose the best Myrtle Beach vacation home:
- Begin by selecting the best vacation week and a spending budget.
- Determine how many beds and the configuration your family needs. Beach get-away in Ocean Lakes Myrtle Beach, SC has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is regularly available on booking websites. If they are not listed, reach out to the property owner before booking the property. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds and bunks. You will need to determine what configuration is right for your group.
- Is your family looking for special amenities? Most websites include amenity lists and search filters. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before booking.
- Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional pet fees or costs might be applied to your invoice.
Tips to have a terrific stay:
- Review arrival and departure procedures before traveling. Add a note with the instructions to your phone, and take a printed copy.
- During arrival, note any damages to the rental property and immediately alert the owner. Keep records of all coorespondence.
- Property managers are great sources of help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Be respectful of your neighbors. Frequently, adjacent homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking policies reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
- Keep the property locked while you're out! Don't let crooks ruin your holiday.
- Double-check the rental property to make sure that you've packed all of your belongings at check-out. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did your group have a excellent time? Most rental managers make it easy for clients to provide feedback. If your property and/or property manager was wonderful, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was amiss and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
