Our top Myrtle Beach rental home booking tips:
Get the most from your vacation rental budget:
- Summer months are high season in Myrtle Beach. Book your Myrtle Beach rental in Fall or Spring months to get the benefit of gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Myrtle Beach vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
- The earlier you can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best vacation rentals are booked early. Booking your vacation home up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and book your vacation rental.
- Some hosts and property managers offer promotional rates for veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your family.
- Property managers frequently offer their guests an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for details.
- Many property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area visitor guides that include money-saving deals, either offered independently by local companies, or through a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Planning and picking the bestvacation home:
- Select a group lead, select your vacation week, and select a maximum budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your family needs. Spectacular Oceanfront Views in the Cabana Section of Myrtle Beach has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
- Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is commonly accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, reach out to the property owner before you reserve the home. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds and bunks.
- If there's an individual Myrtle Beach destination you simply love, keep an eye out for properties that are either nearby, or those that cater to your desires.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before booking.
- If your group is bringing pets, you will need a pet-friendly rental. Make sure to ask for information on breed, size, and type restrictions. Some hosts charge pet deposits and fees.
During your stay:
- Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Save the directions to your phone, and take a printed backup.
- Make a record of any issues with the property during check in, and immediately e-mail them to the property manager. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that are beneficial if there is a dispute.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, intercom or WIFI setup. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents many concerns.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are often an excellent resource to find the best local spots.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Keep the property locked while you are out! Don't let crooks spoil your family vacation.
- Re-check the vacation property to confirm that you've packed all of your family's items at departure. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Inspect the property a final time and look for damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the host is not available, ensure that you take photographs of the rental to record its condition.
- Remember to leave feedback! Hosts rely on excellent feedback to inspire future bookings. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other families will will be grateful for your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
