Tricks and tips to get the perfect Myrtle Beach vacation rental experience:
Sticking to a spending plan:
- To find the best vacation home for your budget, we suggest booking in Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at Myrtle Beach restaurants, beaches, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season.
- In the Myrtle Beach area, The sooner your group can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The best rental homes are reserved very early. Booking your vacation property up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental property.
- Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer promotional rates for veterans. Ask your property manager if rate reductions are available for your family before you book.
- Property managers frequently offer customers an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
- Look for your local Myrtle Beach visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitor guides contain coupons for local shops and restaurants.
Selecting the perfect vacation rental in the Myrtle Beach area:
- Begin by selecting the best vacation week and a spending budget.
- M2203 has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is normally available online. If you don't see them listed, email or call the property owner before reserving the home. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds and bunks.
- Visiting for a specific attraction? Use a map search to find nearby rentals.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental.
- Some rentals allow pets, and some don't. Allowable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask your host about your furry family members before booking.
More considerations for your visit:
- Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the instructions to your phone.
- At Check-in, record any issues with the property and immediately contact the host. Keep records of all coorespondence.
- Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a fantastic source for finding the best local beaches and hangouts.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can typically help. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by locking the property while you are out, just like you would at home.
- Upon check-out, complete a walk-through to confirm you have not leave anything behind. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Go through the property one final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the manager isn't available, take photos and video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Leave a review! Hosts rely on great reviews to drive more reservations. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other families will will be grateful for your feedback find their best vacation home. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to fix it.
