Tricks and tips to get the best vacation rental experience:

Getting the best rental home value:

  • June, July, and August are high season in the Myrtle Beach area. Book your vacation in the Spring or Fall to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities.
  • In the Myrtle Beach area, The earlier you can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The best properties are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation home 6-12 months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and book your rental home.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer renters an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for details.
  • Many property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Myrtle Beach area travel guides which include special offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Myrtle Beach area magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

How to choose the best vacation rental in Myrtle Beach:

  • Select a group lead, select your vacation dates, and select a maximum budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family needs. Wonderful Oceanfront Condo w\/ Wide Balcony, Pool has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts is usually available online. If you don't see them listed, call the property owner before you book the home. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull out couches in living rooms.
  • Does your group require specific amenities? Most rental websites include search filters for amenities. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Remember to confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental
  • Some rental properties allow pets, but some do not. Allowable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask your host about pets before booking.

Additional considerations:

  • We recommend storing the manager's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • To ensure that no damages are linked to your stay, record any problem areas during arrival. E-mail the rental manager right away to relay any issues. If there is a dispute, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Be respectful. Frequently, nearby homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking rules reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Lock your rental property while you're away! Don't let crooks spoil your trip.
  • Just before checking out, complete a walk-through to confirm you did not forget anything. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the property one final time and look for damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager is not available, remember to take photos and video of the property to record its condition.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Property owners rely on good feedback to inspire future reservations. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will will be grateful for your feedback find their best rental home. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.
